Welcome again to my site for the massively popular entertainment machine known to the world as Crowned Eagle Entertainment.
This is the home of some of underground music's most innovative artists and influences. Any album that features or is produced by a member of Crowned Eagle Entertainment is taken to a higher level. Any live performance featuring anyone from Crowned Eagle Entertainment is taken to a higher level. It is my goal to see
talent the majors don't see and to display what the political asylum that is called main stream music withholds from a public that deserves to hear it. I, myself, have outlasted and out-performed many artists that were said to be much better than me as critics who are destined to be chained to the lake of fire for not taking a professional unbiased approach when critiquing the results of my hard work then quietly limp away in morbid deadly frustration.
This site and associated social network pages are for your enjoyment and celebration of the longevity of the entertainment and music career of M.C. Too Tall and associated individuals. Not to spew lies about us. That being said, all comments within good taste are welcome and remember censorship is an outrage!

Thank you.

Operating on a Small Budget and Recruiting the Next Generation
I don't deal with big production. I don't think I even spent a collective of $2500 since 2006 between the gathering of the equipment to the recording and reproducing of the CDs to DIY merch to having merch professionally made to booking shows to advertising. $2500 is not a lot over a span of 9 years.
My budget set aside for M.C. Too Tall, Crowned Eagle, ElevAtioN and now P.H.O. related stuff is small. Some say it is way too big because "Where has it gotten you?" It's gotten me exposure (several spots on Rew&WhO which is a true achievement, my appearance at 3 of 4 Vladapalooza events, interviews on Hardfire and Vampyre Lounge just to name a few). I've made CD and march sales when I had supplies. It brought bands the people wanted.
Now I feel I've done enough to slow down and scale back. I've been moving in this direction since 2012.
Scaling back while remaining relevant is in itself an art form. Being able to put your ego aside and not always be in the forefront allows new talent to come up through whatever promotion you're running. That being said, I sought out a person to front my venture into party events and my promotion overall, for example, discovered someone who was new but was creating a buzz and building a following and pitched my idea to them while building and maintaining a rapport. Maintaining a rapport does not mean putting my seal of approval on any and every last one of their actions but I can't order them what to do and what not to do on their own time. We're all individuals who don't necessarily have to agree on everything but if there's that one common ground to bring about good quality events and keep the promotion behind those events on the map and they do exactly what they're assigned to do, I see no reason to cut them off. In fact, it is protocol to defend anyone who is part of Crowned Eagle Entertainment who has shown nothing but consistent reliability and loyalty to Crowned Eagle Entertainment.
Here's a story. Dennis Rodman was one of the NBA's best rebounders ever. As of today, he is 22nd all time. He was also known for his bizarre off-court antics and the constant changing of his hair color. When the Chicago Bulls acquired him from the San Antonio Spurs, the press rushed to get Michael Jordan's opinion on the acquisition of this outrageous persona that was about to share the court with him and he said "The man can play ball".
Thus, no one in Crowned Eagle Entertainment is doing anything that is damaging to my reputation or even their own. I do utilize my wisdom and experience to school the newbies to the well known fact that they have a rep to protect. So that being said, I am pleased with the current staff, the current mix of rookies and veterans and it will remain the same with the exception of adding one or two new members and, of course, these new members, whoever they may be, will be female and in their 20s. That, my friends, is simply to appeal to the younger crowd which I can cover some other time. There's my explanation of why I select who I select for keeping the operation going and why I keep some on board while giving others the heave ho.
Now stay strong and keep kickin' dat slang. I'm M.C. Too Tall.

Touching Base 1/22/15
What's good, my people? Just touching base as the title for this blog entry suggests.
Two ElevAtioN installments in at it's new home, Lucky 13 Saloon and I can safely say we have a good spot. Sundays though are tough. We tried but it's very difficult to bring people in on a Sunday. That's usually people's rest day. However, I spoke to Rob, the sound guy and he says it's a go for one Thursday a month and so after my February break, ElevAtioN returns to Lucky 13 on March 12th with Alex Von Nihil as our DJ for the evening and the featured band will be a personal favorite of mine, Box Of Crayons. We get them before their big annual St. Patrick's Day performance at Connolly's in Manhattan. We're calling it the Super Sonic St. Paddy's Day edition and we expect some drinkers in the joint! http://www.facebook.com/events/762488973841764
The following month is expected to be good too. The band and DJ I'm in negotiations with are kickass, I tell you! It will be hosted by ElevAtioN's original hostess, none other than the ever popular Luna Vega as it will be an annual birthday shindig for her. That will be Thursday, April 9th. I'm also in negotiations with other bands for future events as ElevAtioN continues to grow!
In other news, my good friend D.J. Spoke and I have put together another P.H.O. song called "The Onslaught" and we have that posted on the M.C. Too Tall Soundcloud. We're working on another EP that I would like to release by summer which will include this and 5 other songs.
Last, but not least, I heard some of you have asked about new solo material. Well the title for my first M.C. Too Tall EP will be "Kill M.C. Too Tall" followed by an album called "Aliens Must Die" in 2016 beginning a new 3 part series of albums called the Enlightenment Series. I expect to go super uber esoteric on these albums but you never know if my anger will get in the way and once again change the direction of the production. I do assure you, as I'm not getting any younger, I am trying really hard to move away from the angry lyrics and production. We shall see.
Well, there you have it. That's what I got for you for now. Stay strong and keep kickin' dat slang! I'm M.C. Too Tall. Word.
